Job Requirements Pandora is looking for a passionate, highly analytical, strategic thinker to lead a team dedicated to growing Pandora’s subscriber business, reporting to the CMO. The Vice President of Subscription will be responsible for managing a team of individuals who track market and product trends and identify opportunities for growth. This team will make product recommendations, forecast future subscriptions, and develop marketing plans to increase the Pandora subscriber base. This person will lead a number of highly important analytical projects to optimize and assess priorities for Pandora’s subscription business.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic analysis projects to understand subscriber behavior and help grow overall subscribers

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry best practices in reporting, analytics, and related areas

  • Develop expertise on Pandora’s subscriber growth and generate subscriber forecast to guide business decisions

  • Develop strategies that can be translated to marketing and product strategies in new markets

  • Collaborate with marketing analytics and finance teams to research and develop understanding of music consumption and the latest media trends. Understand and predict competitive potential


Requirements:

  • MBA or equivalent

  • 10+ years of experience in a highly analytical environment, performing complex statistical analyses, and generating data-driven insights

  • 5+ years experience leading subscription service marketing effort

  • Deep understanding of subscriber acquisition and retention programs

  • Experience working with huge consumer data sets, using the information gained to make important decisions for Pandora’s subscription business

  • Proven analytical expertise, with a solid history of success in forecasting and subscriber acquisition

  • Proven success in creating effective marketing strategies in ecommerce, consumer loyalty, or subscription-based businesses

  • Proven ability to communicate research findings and win support from key executives

  • Proven success anticipating and meeting the business demands of a fast-paced, ever-changing business

  • Possess the highest personal and professional standards of integrity

  • Superior financial modeling skills using Excel and proficiency with PowerPoint
