Job Requirements: McMurry is seeking a talented, motivated, full-time Art Director, with an established publication design background to join its creative team. This individual will be responsible for the design and art direction of a variety of consumer health and lifestyle magazines and their accompanying web content.
The right candidate must have a minimum of 3- 5 years' experience in the design and art direction of compelling multi-paged consumer print magazines, including: a thorough understanding of publication design architecture and pacing, excellent use of typography and readability, sophisticated page layout, thorough understanding of image rights purchasing and negotiations, and adeptness with Adobe CS5 programs. They further understand, and are able to integrate, demographic, regional, and other strategic marketing considerations into a publication's overall visual direction.
As a client-facing creative, this person is service driven, enjoys working on a team, has a passion for marketing strategy, can articulate design direction within a business framework, is friendly, motivated, organized and proactive.
