Sell advertising space in magazine within assigned territory through personal, telephone and direct mail contacts; Will make a minimum of 15 outside sales calls weekly and travel within your assigned territory every six weeks; Sales call preparation, as well as creative and thorough follow- up for every call; Interact extensively with agencies and clients to determine key marketing issues for all accounts; Build strong client and agency contacts at all levels; Maintain and improve magazine's advertising lineage and share-of-market; Use various sales aides, visual presentations, research reports and sales support data to help effectively deliver sales message to clients; Provide accurate and timely business estimates, forecasts, paperwork/administration; Provide account status reports, submit weekly itineraries, generate competitive analysis and share-of -market reports, etc.; Keep relevant others informed (management, split partners, Group) regarding account status, proposals, personnel changes, etc
Required Skills:
Excellent presentation, communication and organizational skills required
Experience Required:
Prior consumer ad sales experience required; Extensive list of prior contacts in the sales category required; College degree is desired. |
