||OBJECTIVES FOR PR AND EVENTS MANAGER
Creating and managing fundraising events on behalf of US Foundation and managing event relations with external parties wishing to fundraise on behalf of US Foundation
Attracting additional event partners and supporters
Developing and coordinating national PR plan with Laureus USA Director and Laureus PR agency with the objective of positioning Laureus USA as a leader in thesport for development sector in the US
Ensure adherence to contracts and agreements for sponsors and donors
Managing sponsor input for project visits, Foundation activities and employee engagement
Coordinate with marketing resources to develop fundraising tools, brochures, newsletters and agreed upon Foundation communications materials
Developing commercial input to US Foundation annual business plan
Commercial reporting as required for Foundation Director and Trustees
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
5-plus years of professional experience in sponsorship, public relations, event management and/or non-profit development; Emphasis on success in PR strategy, developing marketing platforms and event management in those roles
Demonstrated success in a development function or a for profit business development function by managing and forging relationships with multiple donor sources
Experience of working with corporate organizations in a development and/or CSR
context. The candidate may have experience of working for a funding organization such as a foundation or a corporate donor
Successful execution of communications strategy through digital media
Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing partnership relationships over time.
Ability to work as part of a team, but also, a desire to use own initiative to create and drive overall foundation strategy
Business minded including experience in creating and managing budgets
Potential to build commercial team depending on successful implementation of strategy
A track record of successful relationship management and cultivation in either the sports industry or non-profit development sector having worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies in sponsorship activation or corporate social responsibility initiatives.
A deep understanding of sponsorship and/or funding agreements coupled with the creativity to craft a platform where corporate and foundation partners can achieve goals and objectives.
A consensus builder that displays excellent interpersonal skills, which will be used to balance corporate objectives with non-profit outcomes.
Experience working with high profiles celebrities in creating results and satisfaction for all involved.
A strong desire to use sport as a vehicle for social change that is supported by a belief
in cooperation and collaboration.
A proven team member that can serve as a utility player in a small environment with big ideas.
Bachelorís degree required, Masterís preferred.
Fluent in written and spoken Spanish is a plus
Experience and knowledge in the independent dealer/franchise network and how a national organization supports regional needs and programs is a plus.
