Job Requirements We are:

A platform development group that has significantly streamlined publishing.
Experienced publishers with revenue partners to generate income as soon as we're live.
Digital entrepreneurs who can make you look good.

You are:
A great editorial director able to create buzz-worthy editorial brands.
An old school writer & editor able to generate smart copy & catchy headlines.
A new school cyber journalist with a social following.
A natural leader able to communicate with a Tweet or at a business lunch.
A reliable project manager able to set and keep deadlines.
A creative problem-solver who can make us look good.
About Our Company We are seeking an entrepreneurial editorial director, comfortable recruiting and growing social newsrooms, to develop companion health networks on better medicine and healthier living. Backed by two established health brands, we are a group publisher looking for an experienced, creative senior editor able to stitch together a voice and sensibility using our innovative distributed media platform.

75% of American health care dollars go towards treating preventable diseases—a statistic that underscores our inability to carry on engaging conversations about good health. Our platform blends journalists, experts, bloggers, micro-bloggers and passionate users in social newsrooms, so that the question isn’t “How do we talk about health in a way that gets through?” But rather, “Who is?”

Most health media is medical in nature, centering on the doctor/patient relationship. Our focus is innovation: What are the gee-whiz developments in life sciences? How should we think about organic foods and skincare? What are the latest vaccine trials in later stage cancers? How do we raise healthier kids?

One network covers life sciences and major conditions; the other parenting, food, fitness & living well. So, you’ve got to be equally comfortable taking a Tech Crunch-approach towards the latest in biotech, as well as diving into the revolution in food spearheaded by Pollan, Bittman, Waters and others.

Our model is unique: Anybody can create a blog on our platform; we network the best together into brand-supported featured channels. To get started, you will need to develop 10 nucleus blogs, and distribute advances, against a share of page-view revenues, to top editors. You’ll also need to help your top editors recruit contributors. Once live, you’ll need to make sure your content is both breaking new ground and inspiring social reach. Our platform is built to generate daily conversations.

The start date is March 1, and you’ll have an 8-week runway to launch 10 blogs.
