Job Requirements Position Summary:
ESSENCE.COM, the premiere lifestyle, news and entertainment web site for African- American women, is seeking a Web Designer. The person needs to be driven and detail oriented who knows the internet and can communicate and maintain the visual identity for ESSENCE online.

Responsibilities:
Create compelling designs for initiatives including concept, typography and unique design solutions
Quickly utilize the features of new development tools for the web environment
Visually integrate all content requirements
Articulate verbally and graphically specific design ideas to other team members and clients
Understanding of multimedia opportunities and possibilities that may be viable for a project
Provide production support in updating and revising existing online assets
Mock and Prototype iterations in HTML
Design PhotoShop Mockups
Execute user testing and browser support
Design newsletters and email blasts
Flash action scripting and timeline based animations
Create Banner Advertising in Flash/jpg/gif

Requirements:
Art degree, B.A. or B.F.A
2+ years experience in Web design
Mac and PC literate
Web Design, including HTML markup skills and CSS
Dreamweaver, PhotoShop, ImageReady, Illustrator, Fireworks, Flash , Action Script
