Job Requirements Qualifications:
Solid understanding of fundamental visual and interactive design principles
Ability to visualize, own and execute the creation of an experience from initial concept to implementation
Capable of designing gorgeous visuals ranging from content layout to form elements
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator in particular)
Detail oriented - every pixel counts!
Comfortable with direct feedback in an iterative design process
Mastery of HTML, CSS, and the ability to write clean, structured code

Primary Responsibilities:
Design and develop websites and mobile interfaces for a wide range of projects, based on input and feedback from colleagues
Produce print material for advertisements and brochures
Manage a repository of images used in marketing material
Assist in implementing UI and design features for Entrepreneurship Corner (ecorner.stanford.edu)

Preferred Experience:
Experience with content management systems such as Drupal and Wordpress
Experience with hosted emailing tools such as MailChimp
Minimum of 3 years experience in the design of websites
Experience with the development of mobile interfaces
About Our Company The Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) is the entrepreneurship center within Stanford University's School of Engineering, hosted by the department of Management Science and Engineering. STVP is seeking an enthusiastic Web Designer to collaboratively develop websites, mobile interfaces and print collateral in support of a range of educational programs and offerings. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an energetic team helping to foster entrepreneurship education, both at Stanford and around the world. Candidates should be committed to creating work that delivers on user and program needs first, while balancing web design best practices and aesthetic considerations. The Web Designer should be passionate about design that supports content purpose and messaging, have strong communication skills, a willingness to receive feedback, and a solid background in implementing web-based projects as part of a larger team. Projects will vary throughout the academic quarters.
