Job Requirements Job Description:

The Video Advertising Director will increase online video ad revenues by working across the Ad Department, bringing focus and awareness of NYT Video products to key sales category teams, their client and agencies. This position reports to the Vice President, Advertising. 3-5 years sales management experience, preferably in the online video space and a willingness to travel and entertain, are required.


- Work closely with sales teams, sales development, product development, pricing and promotion to build and promote the sales packages, creating new products where appropriate.
- Identify Top 100 prospects and initiate outreach to clients and agencies.
- Collaborate with Ad Directors and Account Managers in New York and the National Sales Offices to develop and execute business and sales plans for the Ad Department.
- Create strategic, custom solutions to increase online video ad revenue.
- Forecast monthly online video revenue by category and program type.
- Create ‘Best Practices’ for selling online video and share with the Ad Department.
- Be involved at industry events, taking a ‘thought leadership’ role at key conferences and seminars.
- Work with product and news to continuously enhance our core offerings and create best in class products.
- Understand and communicate emerging trends, to include, identifying key competitors, that impact our business.
