R29’s Sales Development Manager will partner with ad sales and commerce teams to design, execute and evaluate the success of scalable programs and partnerships that are aligned with the R29 brand and mission.

Demonstarting overall benefits and competitive advantages of R29's value proposition, audience segments, programs, and brand attributes to the marketplace

Developing scalable programs and opportunities for Advertising and Commerce teams

Determining how to create the greatest value for both a brand partner and Refinery29 through an optimal Advertising and Commerce mix

Building and maintaining key relationships with collaborating partners

Leading category analysis and narratives for the Advertising and Commerce departments

Creating presentations utilizing analytics to build story lines supporting company initiatives and revenue goals

Creating case studies and key takeaways from campaign performances and Commerce partnerships

Analyzing Commerce data to create a deep understanding of consumer purchase trends, cycles, and drivers

Working closely with the Ad Sales team to identify research needs on a weekly basis

Developing a brand new metric for program success involving the true impact of social amplification and ROI

Continuously updating the Media Kit with new research story lines

Continuously updating the Corporate Site with new key metrics

Creating industry weekly news flash reports across the company

Working closely with Marketing and Public Relations to understand and quantify the impact of press, syndication and partnerships


Musts. Please read carefully.

Minimum of seven years of experience in marketing research and digital analytics

Minimum of five years of experience in sales development and brand marketing in digital media

Proficient with @plan, comScore, Google analytics, social media tools, Klout and MS Office

Must have solid understanding and experience with ROI metrics and purchasing data

Exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills

Project management skills

Successful track record as a leader and influencer

Ad sales or commerce experience

BS/BA degree; MBA preferred
