Job Requirements The Editor is responsible for coordinating video production with outside vendors and shooting in-house videos while maintaining Zagat brand guidelines. The Editor is responsible for executing the content strategy and responsible for the overall tone and quality of all videos published to our Zagat blogs and the YouTube channel. The Editor is responsible for managing video production for any sponsored video series sold by the sales group.

The Editor is responsible for Google+ Hangouts and to establish best practices and execute high-quality, high-profile Hangouts.

This position will oversee management of the YouTube channel and work cross-functionally with teams to expand the reach of the channel and build the YouTube community. The Editor will maintain video partnerships, work with internal Zagat sales and marketing teams to refine RFPs and execute video components that are sponsored by clients. The Editor will also be responsible for developing tools and processes for tracking metrics of success.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and cross-functionally with minimal guidance and deliver high-quality results in a very faced environment. Successful candidates will likely be smart, creative and passionate about building communities through video content.

Act as resident storyteller/filmmaker under the guidance of Zagat Managing Editor
Conceive, direct, shoot and edit
Manage all video assets
Oversees all video production for the Zagat brand
Execute video content calendar including existing programs and possible new video content initiated by Community or other internal teams
Create high-quality engaging content while maintaining brand guidelines
Shoot and edit in-house videos
Manage and grow the Zagat YouTube channel and audience
Provide support for high-quality Google+ Hangouts and establish best practices
Devise and implement improvements to best practices, tools and processes for all video tasks
Produce weekly metrics-based reports to communicate success
Works on multiple core projects simultaneously with limited guidance
Make decisions based on credible metrics and communicate according to well-reasoned analysis

A killer reel
5+ years video production, editing and scriptwriting experience a must
Proficiency in Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Flash, Cinema 4D
Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
Deep understanding about new technologies
Knowledge of multiple online video distribution platforms and proven track record of success building online communities with engaging video content
Expert in social media
Working knowledge of Google+ Hangouts and journalism a huge plus
Self-motivation and readiness to coordinate and execute cross functionally
Skilled at multi-tasking, high attention to detail
Creative and strategic self-starter
Can-do attitude (no task is too small, no project too complex)
