Job Requirements We’re looking for a sales and business operations coordinator to support the teams that sell our company’s products and services. While the core duties of the job are administrative and it's a junior role, the position also provides opportunities for a digitally savvy applicant to branch out into marketing, product or business development. It’s a great job for a smart self-starter looking to break into digital media.

We’re a small and growing New York-based start-up that’s funded by some of the largest media companies to help find new revenue models for digital content. We’re also building Big Data models on how news content is consumed throughout the Internet by hundreds of millions of users. Our business involves working with companies ranging from household media brands to emerging dot-coms. And there’s a healthy dose of cutting-edge technology, built in Silicon Valley and Europe, thrown in to make this all work.

About the position

• Work across departments (sales, product, business development, technology, finance and legal) to fulfill customer requests in a timely fashion.
• Provide administrative support to the senior management team
• Process sales leads and updates in SalesForce and ensure information is passed along and acted upon.
• Prepare timely and error-free presentations and reports
• Maintain administrative files and coordinate payment of invoices
• Remove barriers to ensuring successful sales and post-sales processes.
• Process and track customer orders
• Field general e-mail and phone inquiries
• Help manage company’s social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
• Assist in production of content for company website and marketing literature
• Assist teams within the company on research when needed
• Handle the logistics regarding period board meetings.
• Assist in handling customer service and account management tasks
• Participate in internal cross-functional project team meetings
• Monitor company email account, answer calls, routine product inquiries, and convey messages


About you

You don’t need to be told what to do. You find problems, solve them and implement solutions to keep them from recurring. You can balance time-critical assignments with longer-term projects, and deliver both ahead of deadlines and high levels of quality. You’re technically literate, knowing not only Microsoft Office and sales databases like Salesforce.com, but also the fundamentals of Internet technologies and social media. Teammates like working with you, and you communicate well. You have good business sense, with understanding of online content business, news organizations, social media or advertising. An undergraduate degree is required.
