Job Requirements The key responsibility of the Survey Analyst is to manage and support the Senior Research Director on key research projects on behalf of the Legal Intelligence research department at ALM. This position will take ownership of the survey process from start to finish, from programming the questionnaire through fielding. In some cases, the Survey Analyst will be called upon to answer client queries about the reports.

Essential Duties:
• Survey activities: participate in questionnaire/survey design and development decisions
• Develop SPSS programs to generate statistical analysis and analyze surveys
• Programming analysis abilities for ad-hoc data analysis requests
• Responsible for decisions regarding cleaning final data sets
• Finalize survey products¬—including producing graphics, methodology sections, and proofing and overseeing final edits
• Perform related departmental duties that may be included but not listed in the position description

Performance Requirements
• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience— either at a research supplier, agency, consultancy or on the client
• Working knowledge of survey methodology and statistical analysis
• Must be comfortable with data manipulation, using a clear and logical style to collate and analyze data and be able to interpret and derive meaning from data
• Adequate to superior working knowledge of SPSS
• Familiar with online survey tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, each in various stages of the research process to ensure timely delivery of the final reports
• Sound report writing and presentation skills (previous report writing experience is essential)
• Ability to think independently and work with minimal direction
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint—MS Access a plus)
• Frequent pressure due to deadlines job requires heavy-duty data editing - identifying outliers, ambiguities, etc.
