Overview:
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Product Development Manager works with key stakeholders in the business to define and document new features and functionality across Sotheby’s digital platforms. The position will require liaising with the editorial team, producers, digital design team, marketing , technical teams, and stakeholders to produce business cases, business requirement documents, use cases, implement analytic and production rules and coordinate deliverables, including testing.

Responsibilities:
• Establish and evolve standard requirements documentation and process for all new digital features and functions. Includes working with the Analytics team to have metrics applied and integrated.

• Complete initial Project Assessments for all items that enter the Product Pipeline, so as to provide initial indication of feasibility of each project.

• Develop detailed, crisp business requirement documents for all approved projects that will be supplemented by functional and technical specifications and designs for each product and application. In some cases, business requirement documents will need to be supplemented by use cases and annotated designs.

• Act as PMO as needed: create project plans and ensure delivery dates are adhered to.

• Coordinate the QA process of new products with Program Manager and Head of Services Delivery.

• Work on projects as assigned by Program Manager. As required, work with third party vendors, lead RFPs and contract process.

• Work closely with all members of the digital media services team to ensure a collaborative approach is taken to all tasks.

• Identify change management needs and create change management roll our plans for new products. Train worldwide client service staff as new products are delivered. Act as main point of contact for product to troubleshoot any technical issues.

• Act as an internal point of contact for Convergys for resolving client queries that cannot be handled by the call center.

Qualifications:
• 2-3 years’ experience in a Product Development role. Experience working with a Content Management System is advantageous.

• The candidate needs to be highly organized, collaborative and adaptive, with the ability to work calmly and professionally under pressured, time sensitive deadlines.

• Excellent written and communication skills are essential as are a logical and creative approach to problem solving and attention to detail.

• Passionate about the ways that digital media will continue to revolutionize information distribution and interaction in the arts-related sphere.

• Cooperative and communicative.

• Experience with cross-platform digital projects

• Knowledge of MS Project is a plus.
