Job Requirements The Account Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing client programs and activities; ensure that all programs are strategically on target with clients’ business objectives; maintain day-to-day contact with client, report program results to agency management and client.

Act as a client contact, play key role in developing and implementing account activities.
Define PR objectives, develop and deliver press strategy and execution for clients through national, regional and trade media.

Demonstrate business communication knowledge and utilize relationships to achieve clients’ business goals. Deliver high quality written and verbal content.

Ability to develop strategic digital recommendations and program tactics for clients; advanced knowledge of how to use social media platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement.

Write strategic project recommendations to achieve clients’ business goals.
Develop a full range of written materials including press releases, byline articles, speeches, client correspondence, blogs, social media content and reports.

Actively participant in networking and seeking new business opportunities, including the pitching process, research, writing, and presentation.

Drive effective implementation of projects, identify appropriate resources, and delegate work appropriately. Manage people and projects, deliver highest quality work on time and on budget, and provide timely progress reports, anticipating issues.

Work with media including proactive pitching and relationship management.

Keep in compliance with the agency’s time entry and expense report policy; utilize PO system effectively; contribute to management of client budgets.

Build strong relationships, deal constructively with internal and external situations, and serve as a role model for outstanding client service.

Develop programs and collaborate effectively; use metrics and analytics to build business case, provide insight and counsel to clients.

Exhibit effective interpersonal relations while developing internal and external network of contacts and educating others on agency resources and capabilities for a competitive client advantage, new business, and talent attraction for agency.

Participate in local office and agency activities and encourage team members to do the same.

Grow and retain talent by providing formal/informal feedback and coaching to junior staff. Utilize talent management tools. Identify and drive participation in training.


Four to six years of experience in public relations agency or similar position; experience working on lifestyle, entertainment and/or spirits brands a plus

Ability to work in multi-faceted fast paced environment.

Motivated self-starter who is results-oriented and creative

Superior organizational skills, sharp attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines

Must have strong presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint

Strong interpersonal skills; position requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy

Strong media relationships in lifestyle, spirits and events

Demonstrated feature, executive profile and product placement track record with proven ability to conceptualize, formulate and secure feature coverage in major regional and national media outlets (international a plus)

Should be savvy in social media

Experience with all forms of PR communications (press releases, media interviews, public speaking engagements, ability to interface with senior level client contacts, crisis communications, etc.)

Must be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with demonstrated experience juggling multiple competing tasks and demands

Excellent communication skills; articulate and able to express thoughts clearly and concisely

Have a proven track record of making significant positive organizational impact
