Job Requirements The Digital Editor will be responsible for owning and maintaining the strategy-business.com website, managing the production of the digital edition and apps, and coordinating with external vendors and content partners to ensure that s+b’s content is optimally displayed and distributed on all of the magazine’s digital properties. The Associate Editor may also write blog posts, social media posts, and newsletter intro blurbs.

•Coordinate with editors on keeping website fresh (e.g., attend weekly editorial meetings and give input on what types of topics should be covered)
•Be the staff expert on the CMS system; be proficient within the CMS at editing and manipulating editorial and page content
•Manage the upload of new content, serving as the final quality control, and identify cross-linking opportunities on relevant pages within the site
•Manage the site’s information architecture to ensure all pages and content are organized intuitively to maintain a good user experience
•Enforce web editorial and branding standards, including photo and visual asset use
•Manage implementation timelines for all key web projects
•Manage SEO programs and maintenance plan to ensure pages are optimized for search engines (internal and external search)
•Utilize web analytics to understand web trends and improve the overall usability of the site through data-driven analyses and reporting
•Manage the production of the digital edition and apps, including ensuring that the vendor receives files on time, proofing the edition , creating/updating production schedule, and managing the distribution via e-mail

Qualifications
•5+ years of experience with website management and online content production
•Knowledge of how different web media elements (content, videos, podcasts, interactive tools, etc.) can be combined to create a rich online user experience
•Proficiency in content management systems for basic content updates and photo-editing tools preferred
•SEO experience
•Experience with web analytics software
•Strong time and project management skills
•Ability to work independently
•Strong editorial and writing skills
•Ability to manage external vendors responsible for creative and technical support
