A bachelor’s or advanced degree in Journalism or a minimum of 2-3 years experience writing and editing news content for the Web, preferably as a site editor
Knowledge of Web CMSs, analytics and social media management tools, as well as HTML/CSS
Multimedia storytelling experience (photo slideshow essays) and knowledge of shooting and editing video for the Web
Excellent knowledge of SEO

NJN Publishing, producers of online content for Hunterdon, Warren and Union counties on NJ.com, is looking for an editor to help manage our digital reporting team and social media efforts.
The idea candidate will be an enthusiastic content producer with a background in news reporting and an understanding of how people consume news across digital platforms.
In this role, you will help manage NJN's digital reporting team, including guiding the digital reporting process, rewriting headlines to maximize page views and creating multi-media packages for the digital platform.
You will also be responsible for helping to guide the digital newsroom's social media efforts, including moderating user comments, and managing NJN's Twitter accounts and Facebook pages.
NJN is looking for someone who will work closely with the Managing Editor of Digital Content to monitor Web traffic, ensure NJN content continues to meet SEO trends and help grow the digital audience.
