Job Requirements Mashable is adding another key position to its growing Sales team. We are now seeking a smart, self-motivated and resourceful individual to join our team as an Account Executive in our New York office to help take our thriving sales efforts to a new level. The successful candidate will have an active network of client/agency relationships and a proven track record of building and delivering solid marketing solutions in an effective and scalable way. Responsibilities:

• Consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and ad agencies.
• Generating new sales leads through prospecting and cold calling.
• Understanding client needs and presenting relevant solutions.
• Effectively organizing, prioritizing and managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Developing and maintaining a strong sales pipeline to ensure sufficient opportunities exist to meet revenue goals.
• Performing competitive analysis in current and future Mashable focus areas
• Tracking, analyzing and communicating performance of advertiser campaigns on Mashable
• Keeping up-to-date and detailed records of sales activity through a CRM solution.


Job Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of related work experience, ideally in the digital media industry
• A keen ability to see opportunities, understands needs, create relevant solutions, set proper expectations and close meaningful deals
• A detailed knowledge of online media planning terms and KPIs
• Demonstrated record of success in a fast-paced, goal-oriented sales environment
• Dynamic, flexible, hard-working and highly organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
• Well organized with good attention to detail
• Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
• Strong project management skills
• Proficiency with SalesForce and social media platforms
• Knowledge of social media
• Passion for news, entertainment and current events, and knowledge of the media industry
