Job Requirements Amazon.ca is looking for an analytical and enthusiastic Senior Vendor Manager to join the Canada Electronics team.

The Senior Vendor Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of 1 or more Electronics categories and the vendor relationships that drive them. This includes managing the business relationship with vendors, selection expansion, and identifying areas for growth. The Senior Vendor Manager is also responsible for delivering all aspects of terms improvements, which includes analysis, projections, and direct negotiations with senior decision makers at external companies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to analyze and communicate complex terms and margin structure and work well across other teams including Finance, Legal and Inventory Management. They will have strong presentation and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be flexible, creative, analytical, and able to drive negotiations through to completion. Keys to success also include strong ownership values, a passion for innovation, and hustle.

  • BA/BS required
  • Minimum of 5 years in buying, account management, product management, project management, financial analysis and/or marketing
  • Minimum of 2 years negotiation experience

  • MBA degree desired
  • Accomplished range of skill from high level strategic thinking to working with external partners
  • Ability to own, manage and speak to a P&L
  • Demonstrated excellent business judgment with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills.
  • The ability to use both formal and informal influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation
  • Track record of taking ownership and driving results in an environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel
  • Proficient in Excel
