Job Requirements Weather.com is expanding. The leading website for weather news and information is launching new verticals and looking for an editor to build a team to lead our health coverage. The ideal candidate will be passionate and knowledgeable about health, know
how to create content that grabs audiences, be able to manage a small team and understand how users consume content online.

Specific Responsibilities
- Generate story ideas
- Produce stories and slideshows
- Identify great stories among our content partners pitches
- Manage a small team of content producers
- Edit content produced by members of the health editorial team
- Identify breaking news stories that would fit under the health vertical

Skills and Experience
Required
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Ability to craft headlines that engage readers
- Sharp writing and editing skills
- Experience in a breaking news environment
- Minimum 3 years experience

Desired
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
- High comfort level with various content management systems
- Knowledge of HTML
- In-depth knowledge of medical and health issues

Requirements
BA in a related field (Journalism, Communications, etc.)
