Job Requirements The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, innovator and data-driven professional with a demonstrated ability to help manage digital businesses. This position requires strong business and technical acumen; the preferred candidate will have a deep understanding of mobile and e-commerce product development.


- Work closely across technology, design, marketing, customer insights and finance functions to identify business requirements and manage project deliverables.
- Stay abreast of the marketplace and competitive set.
- Understand drivers behind business performance and identify opportunities.
- Develop, maintain and execute product roadmap for paid products.
- Work with cross-functional teams to optimize user experience.
- Maintain project plan milestones and keep them up to date through coordination with team leads.
- Assure that projects complete according to schedule and within budget.
- Act as the client point-of-contact for all project-related issues.


- Deep understanding of NYT brand
- BS/BA required, MBA preferred
- At least 5 year experience managing larger, more complex and cross functional projects, preferably in e-commerce, consulting or media
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven capability in project management including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations and run team meetings.
- Knowledge of web and mobile technologies, development processes and the delivery of solutions with creative and engineering components.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems with keen instincts and organizational experience.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Paid content, specifically digital subscription experience, highly desirable
- A sense of humor
