XO Group Inc. seeks an enthusiastic candidate for a full time Copy Editor position located at our downtown NYC headquarters.
The Copy Editor will report to the Managing Editor and play a key role in trafficking the workflow of the print and online properties and copyediting.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the editorial department style guide
- Maintaining archives - Working closely with the editors and art team throughout the magazine production cycles
- Trafficking manuscripts and layouts throughout the routing process
- Creating and updating calendars and schedules
- Copyediting and proofreading
Qualifications and skills include:
- At least 3 years of editorial experience
- Detail-oriented, organized and hard-working
- Ability to multitask and work well under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of web publishing and social media tools
- Strong ability to lead and motivate others
