Job Requirements This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the changing media landscape at a globally recognized brand. The Associate Art Director is responsible for creatively leveraging InStyle’s storied brand equity and marketing success to create custom content for advertising partners across digital, mobile, social and print platforms. This is a senior level creative position reporting to the Creative Director of Marketing that has an emphasis on developing and executing custom content, unique digital ad campaigns, as well as more traditional print and sales materials. We are seeking someone who is not only passionate about new media, but who also can bring that experience to this position.

Key Accountabilities:
• Set and maintain high creative standard across all projects
• Ability to contribute not only as a designer but also as a project manager on all projects
• Act as the lead on all digitally based design initiatives in the dept
• Collaborate with team to develop innovative creative solutions for advertising/promotional efforts for the brand and it advertising partners to include: digital ad campaigns, email marketing, unique outdoor media, custom video content, high level custom photoshoots, marketing and sales materials, event collateral
• Maintains proper administrative controls to ensure all deadlines/release dates are met
• Delegates smaller projects to junior members of team and oversees their progress and deadlines
• Ability to interface with copy and integrated marketing teams to meet advertiser’s objectives from both a design and content point of view
• Ability to present ideas to senior management and clients as needed
• Desire to learn new technology and stay on top of the current trends in both fashion and new media
• Must have at least 7 years of relevant work experience

Skills Summary
• Strong technical skills comfortable working in print and digital
• Proven computer skills – Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, or basic HTML Powerpoint, Keynote
• After Effects a plus
• Organizational skills and attention to detail is an essential must have excellent follow through on all jobs.
• Work well under pressure. Must be a good team player and communicator.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Must have a Bachlor’s degree in Graphic Design from a leading university
• Should have excellent professional references, outstanding portfolio and relevant job experience
