Job Requirements Weather.com is expanding. The leading website for weather news and information is launching new verticals and looking for an associate editor in our travel section. The ideal candidate will be passionate about travel, know how to create content that grabs audiences, and understand how users consume content online.

Specific Responsibilities
Generate story ideas
Produce stories and slideshows
Identify breaking news stories that would fit under the travel vertical

Skills and Experience
Knowledge of SEO best practices
Ability to craft headlines that engage readers
Sharp writing and editing skills
Experience in a breaking news environment
Minimum 2 years experience

Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
High comfort level with various content management systems
Knowledge of HTML
Knowledge of medical and health issues

BA in a related field (Journalism, Communications, etc.)
