Overview:
New York Public Radio (NYPR) is seeking an experienced Sales Assistant to join the Underwriting Department. Reporting to the Senior Director of Underwriting, the Sales Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Local Underwriting team.
Responsibilities:
Produce correspondence and proposals with a high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office - Powepoint, Excel, Word and Outlook Assist with the processing of orders both on-air and web, and with copy approval Maintain marketing database including media kits and sponsorship proposals Assist with Underwriting promotional events Act as a liaison between Underwriting and client to facilitate daily business transactions with strong focus on customer care Provide general administrative support to multiple Underwriting Managers Ensure records retention is accurate and efficient Conduct research using our industry specifc software (Tapscan) Additional assignments and special projects as directed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Minimum 1 year administrative experience – prior experience in media sales or marketing dept a plus Microsoft Office Application – Powerpoint, Excel, Word and Outlook required Prior experience building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external contacts required Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects Attention to detail and accuracy a must Familiarity with media sales - underwriting a plus Familiarity with digital advertising options Experience with Wideorbit Traffic a plus Radio research experience with Tapscan and Scarborough a plus
