Job Requirements Major Responsibilities/Primary Functions (including, but not limited to the below)
Project Management:
• Briefs teams and manages execution of new business pitches, corporate events and marketing materials
o Brochures, online site development (microsites, partner centres, etc.), proposals, decks/presentations, videos, banners/boards, presentation support materials, etc.
o Serves as main point of contact on assigned project execution
o Attends video shoots and works with production studio on editing and content to ensure quality of end product
• Works with designers and collaborates on overall branding of a specific pitch/marketing initiatives; establishes consistent look/tone/feel across multiple communications vehicles
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Assists on development of client/pitch presentations, including PowerPoint development
• Effectively manages issues regarding timing, casting and budgetary concerns for video and event production
• Manages a process from start to finish, from planning to final details
• Able to take feedback from various team members and successfully implement
• Issues written updates/statuses/conference call reports to ensure teams are in agreement
Fiscal Responsibility:
• Prepares budget estimates for projects
• Tracks spending and ensures all marketing efforts are produced on strategy on time and within budget
• Secures estimates for out of pocket expenditures and is accountable for the accuracy of reporting and managing costs
• Investigates, reports and recommends cost-efficient solutions for savings or cost-improvement
Marketing and Awards:
• Contributes to the preparation and publication of Media Pulse, the department’s online newsletter /blog which highlights relevant media insights, intelligence and trends http://www.omnicommediagroupmediapulse.com
• Keeps abreast and shares information on the industry, marketing trends, emerging technology
• Works with teams on Award Show network communications and tracking, including events and resources for the Global Light Team which fosters creativity and innovation throughout the network.
Skills: Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-4 years account management/advertising/marketing/sales experience
• At least one year Agency experience strongly preferred
• Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
• A proven track record gaining team trust and confidence (from executive level to assistant level) through responsiveness, reliability, problem solving/trouble-shooting and know-how
• Demonstrate composure and diplomacy in stressful situations
• Strong organizational skills, exceptional initiative, attention to detail and follow through
• Must understand budgets and estimates – what things cost and why – how project and budget management impact account and agency profitability
• Microsoft Office proficiency required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Adobe Suite proficiency preferred (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Can-do, want-to-do, will-do what it takes to manage a project, make it fun, while striving to always take the project to the next level
About Our Company The Management Supervisor, Global Business Development, works with the Omnicom Media Group Business Development team to facilitate and manage the agency’s responses to incoming new business opportunities (via written documents and presentations), marketing communications, creative development, meetings and corporate event planning and production, project workflow and global corporate administration.
The Business Development team is a key component of Omnicom Media Group (OMG) network development and an important driver for growth. The Supervisor liaises with counterparts in all regional headquarters (North America, Asia/Pacific, Europe/Middle East & Africa, Latin America), as well as cross-functionally with internal/external groups to ensure brand messaging for OMG and our subsidiary companies (OMD, PHD, and our Strategic Business Units) stay on point. The Supervisor is a key participant in helping to create best practices globally/regionally – to raise the bar on each project. As a liaison between the Business Development teams, agency and client teams, this person serves as a senior project manager on assigned initiatives that range from proposal writing and global meeting preparation to event planning.
Top candidates must possess an acute attention detail and the ability to collaborate; they must be resourceful, proactive, and a creative problem solver. Bringing a critical eye and an ability to both make requests and provide direction in a diplomatic, constructive manner will contribute to success in this role. This group functions as an integrated team, with the approach of “all hands on deck” and a “can-do” attitude. The ability to foster a productive, fun working environment is imperative, and exceptional communication/people skills are a must.
