Job Requirements Who is a Community Manager? Someone who creates and maintains meaningful customer relationships in the social media space on behalf of a corporation or brand.

Our Community Manager leverages their understanding of social platform nuances, ability to communicate through a brand filter, and in-depth knowledge of available content and resources to help foster dialogue within the community, maximize customer engagement, and quickly resolve any issues should they arise. He/She must have real experience in the hands-on execution of conversational marketing in the social media space online communities, Twitter and Facebook. Of course, this person is not only proficient in all things digital/social, but is also an excellent conversationalist, writer, and host.

the position:

-Manage and execute brand presence on client-owned social media platforms
-Help execute on content strategy create posts/status updates, foster dialog, answer questions and resolve conflicts
-Respond to questions posed in social forums; represent the brand in a friendly, knowledgeable manner
-Identify Influencers and develop a rapport with them
-Update ancillary platforms (i.e., YouTube and Flickr) with relevant UGC requires discovery of content, securing permission and inclusion as favorite
-Manage incoming content select the most relevant content, tag it for the appropriate audience, ensure delivery to the appropriate team
-Resolve/elevate issues when they arise within the communities
-Create unique applications, promotions, and messages within each community
-Secure permission for third-party content where required
-Report on platform activity weekly updates, issue elevation, ID key opportunities
-Support the Program Director in the development and execution of multi platform social media strategies, editorial calendars and tactical plans

the personality:

-Extremelyonline savvy socially active online with a solid understanding of social media and the dynamics of community interaction
-A strong written and verbal communicator written samples required
-Assertive and resourceful with a proven track record of getting things done
-Able to excel with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
-Exceptional at setting and driving schedules, acquiring resources, completing projects on time, multi-tasking and just plain getting the most out of people
-An active participant in a broad mix of social media platforms
-Experience executing larger social campaigns
-A guru in online marketing, online community management and influencer outreach
-1-2 years experience in social media/PR/online community management role (or relevant internship)
