About Corporate Communications
We work closely with company leaders to keep you informed about our corporate goals, accomplishments, and local and worldwide operations. We use many vehicles – such as TV, radio, brochures, face-to-face meetings, and our websites to provide timely and useful information about our programs and services. Our close relationship with the news media helps us inform stakeholders about issues and events that affect their electricity service, the Edison companies, and the electric industry overall. Our media team is on call 24/7. We manage crisis information during storms and emergencies that may impact service to our customers.
To keep pace with the growth of social and mobile, and to remain agile in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, SCE is searching for a candidate with a proven track record of using social and search advertising to efficiently-and cost-effectively- deliver corporate messaging, including crisis communications, to customers via their preferred channels/devices. He/she will be responsible for all aspects related to setting up, implementing, optimizing and monitoring selected SCE social and search campaigns on multiple platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google and more. The role also requires the ability to analyze, measure and report on many different types of social and search data.
•Must have on the job, coursework, or specialized training experience in the digital communications space to include Social Advertising, Social Media Community Management, Data Analysis and/or Measurement.
•Typically possesses at least 3 years’ experience as a social media community manager to include: creating and posting content, responding with sound judgment to community comments, and maintaining a safe and engaging environment for all community members.
•Typically possesses at least 3 years’ experience in digital advertising to include: Using data to create effective social and search ads, testing and measuring in real-time (and adjusting the flight as needed), and delivering successful results against stated campaign objective(s).
•Typically possesses at least 3 years’ experience analyzing the data from social media management tools to drive social decision-making and content strategy, listen for customer sentiment, and deliver easy-to-understand analyses to senior management.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Advertising, Psychology or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
•Be fully integrated with the Social Media team to provide “bench strength” as needed, including supporting SCE’s increasing community management demands.
•Working in tight coordination with key intra-Corporate Communications stakeholders, including Media Relations, Strategic Communications, Safety, and Philanthropy.
•Participate on the SCE Editorial Board and work closely with the Advertising team to ensure that social media ad buys are aligned with corporate goals, synched with the flight of all collateral media (non-digital ad buy, traditional media, social media, blogs etc) for key corporate communications messages.
•Work closely with key internal stakeholders, including the Web and Advertising teams, to recommend and place (as needed) SEM buys.
•Proven experience working in multiple digital marketing communications functions (Internal Communications/Employee Engagement, Public Relations, Promotions, Advertising) on multiple platforms (Traditional, Social, Mobile).
•Willingness and flexibility to support social media team, and wider corporate communications team, during non-traditional work hours as needed.
•Ability to work under tight deadlines, and flexibility to adjust and adapt to constantly changing conditions.
•Supporting and working with video technician to produce video ads for Youtube
•Excellent oral and written communication skills to include ability to present ideas in a clear, professional manner.
•Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop and Social Media Management tools.
•Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a safety-conscious work environment.
•Must demonstrate effective decision-making, results delivery, team participation and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
•Must demonstrate strong ethics, interpersonal skills, communication and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
