Job Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years demonstrable experience of trade marketing experience - ideally from a media owner or media agency background.

Experience, Specialist Knowledge & Skills (Technical & Functional)

• Specialized Knowledge: Requires extensive theoretical and practical
knowledge of media sales and media related research techniques
• Familiarity with media research tools (comScore, TGI, Nielsen, Mintel, etc)
• Able to confidently present complex issues in a clear and concise manner

The ideal candidate will have a varied background within the advertising sector with experience/knowledge of

• Sales process, media research, analysis, competitive landscaping & market assessments.
• Project management.
• Dealing with senior Sales management in a fast moving and fluid environment.
• Expert in trends and user behaviors in the US.
• Extensive direct experience in media market research.
• Good working knowledge of media/online market place.
• Good/advanced analytical skills – highly numerate.
About Our Company The Trade Marketing Director will join AOL’s growing marketing team to support our B2B marketing activities both internally and externally.

Our mission is to drive awareness and demand for AOL Advertising’s products in the industry through the development and execution of strategic trade campaigns, events (both hosted and sponsored), web presence (trade site and social assets), marketing collateral, partnerships and research. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to define, package and sell our story to the B2B space – working with internal sales and communications teams and driving compelling messages out to the field and to the industry at large. This person will work closely with the larger Marketing Strategy, Sales Strategy, Sales, Corporate Communications and Research teams to ensure that AOL’s messaging, positioning and all trade audience needs are met.

The Trade Marketing Director will also act as the internal liaison between Production and Marketing for the timely delivery of external collateral to support product launches and to communicate all milestones on the production roadmap to Sales and Corporate Communications. This person will also play a critical role in driving our internal communications to the US office as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Drive product positioning and messaging for the rest of the organization.
• Leverage all assets to deliver compelling sales arguments to the market.
• Manage all CRM activity including contact databases, newsletters (internal/external), social media presence and the trade site.
• Create best in class advertiser case studies and other collateral within brand guidelines.
• Develop efficient co-marketing campaigns to drive awareness and trial of products.
• Devise and execute and must-attend events for key industry contacts.
• Create speaker opportunities for senior management and manage AOL’s attendance at top industry conferences and events.
