•Solid marketing and/or management experience, some international experience a positive
•Superior business sense, problem solving, project management and analytical skills
•Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior executive leadership
•Proven track record of results, demonstrated accountability for achieving individual and shared goals
•Category and digital media experience preferred
•Minimum of 7 - 10 years of relevant work experience

As a Director of Category Marketing, you will be a senior marketer who knows how to engage advertisers and agencies of all sizes, at the category level. You will be responsible for working cross-functionally to create best-in-class category events, materials, and research. You will need to have a deep familiarity with the consumer technology/online space to take AOL's premium and network assets to market in a way that engages our clients. This person will work closely with our Sales, Property, Product, and Communications teams to assure that we have consistent marketing plans and initiatives.

•Own go-to-market strategy for category
•Think big to increase AOL’s share in a highly competitive industry Initiate research studies to position AOL as a thought leader in the category
•Identify strategic industry events with sponsorship/speaking opportunities to raise the profile of AOL within the category
•Collaborate with research team to keep Sales abreast of industry trends
•Contribute to product innovation to grow revenue
•Create effective framework and packaging for marketing collateral
•Lead the development, internal alignment and execution of the overall category planning while working closely with business leads
