Job Requirements We have an immediate opportunity for a media relations manager to join our dynamic and growing San Francisco based team.


-Manage day-to-day client project work and produce quality client deliverables
-Work on integrated, global teams in a variety of service areas, including media relations, corporate communication, issues management, branding & positioning, corporate responsibility, stakeholder engagement and internal communication
-Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast media and online
-Leverage existing media relationships with key business reporters and cultivate new contacts within business and trade media; manage media inquiries and interview requests; write and distribute press releases and media advisories; and conduct pitch calls
-Coordinate public relations activities
-Design and execute communication campaigns, playing a key role in client account planning and strategy
-Play an active role in brainstorm meetings, challenging convention by creating and innovating and presenting new campaign ideas
-Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
-Delegate projects to early career professionals, mentoring and providing feedback on their work


-5-7 years of relevant experience, including prior public relations agency and/or proven media relations experience
-Experience working within retail sector a plus
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in communication, journalism, public relations or related field
-Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level
-Strong relationships with both local and national business and technology media outlets
-Able to manage client relationships successfully in a fast paced environment
-Experience managing large scope projects that require coordination across internal and external teams under tight deadlines
-Exceptional writing and editing skills, and the ability to write both strategically and creatively
-Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
-Collaborative team player that also has the ability to work independently and be a self-starter, take initiative and set priorities
