Job Requirements This role requires a strategic thinker, someone who is an experienced interviewer, writer and editor who is able to get their hands dirty and still be creative while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities:
-Drive execution behind content development for Dairy Good (including interviewing sources, writing blog posts, producing visuals and managing internal contributors)
-Glean insights from social conversation, search and web traffic data to plan and create compelling content for relevant audiences
-Ensure Dairy Good content is fresh and adheres to the overall strategic vision
-Help lead the evolution of the newsroom, including strategy, content development, reporting and integration
-Work with core team and internal stakeholders to research and gain an understanding of the industry/organization

Education, Experience & Abilities
- 5-7 years' experience as a writer/editor or digital journalist
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong business and leadership skills
- Knowledge of Wordpress, Photoshop and basic HTML code
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to write for the web with insight-informed, search-
optimized content for a variety of audiences
- Video and photography production experience
- Project management experience required, preferably in agricultural or
environmental context
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with customers, peers and
subordinates. Must be an advocate and collaborator within an organization.
- Excellent project management skills, leadership, ability to work independently
- Agency experience is a plus

- Willingness to travel up to 10% of time

You'll be part of a core team that monitors consumer conversation about dairy across social and digital landscapes (blogs, websites, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) that produces real-time and planned dairy-focused content for our consumer-targeted website, Dairy Good (dairygood.org ), and its social properties.

We are looking for someone who knows how to captivate and illuminate ideas through content. Our ideal candidate works quickly and accurately under deadline, and is constantly looking for new ways and tools to help tell an engaging story.

DMI is the domestic and international planning and management organization that builds demand for dairy products on behalf of America's dairy farmers. DMI works with state and regional dairy promotion organizations to ensure the future success of dairy by integrating marketing; promotion; advertising; public relations; nutrition education; and nutrition, product and technology research programs.
