Job Requirements We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager to conceive and execute the marketing campaigns for an assigned list of hardcover and trade paperbacks per season for Harper, Harper Business, Harper Wave, Harper Design, Broadside Books, and Amistad titles.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate detailed campaign updates directly with editors, authors and agents- from presentation through execution.
- Conceive and execute backlist promotions in both e and p formats.
- Work closely with the Associate Director of Online Marketing on the design and execution of all online campaigns.
- Actively participate in all imprint-wide marketing activities.
- Present marketing plans, etc. at key meetings with editors, authors, agents, and company executives.
- Participate in the planning and preparation for all seasonal sales meetings.
- Coordinate marketing efforts with publicists on each campaign.
- Manage budgets for assigned titles
- Secure title specific as well as imprint-wide cross promotional partnerships with third party brands and companies.

Candidates for this position should possess:
- Minimum 3 years of marketing experience in book publishing
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- A positive, can-do attitude plus possesses the ability to work well with different types of personalities
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and organization
- Passion for the book publishing business
- Up-to-date knowledge of digital publishing landscape
- A strong commitment to the online space and experience using social networking websites (such as Facebook and Twitter) as a marketing and sales tool
- Excellent computer skills: Word/Excel/PowerPoint required
- Proven expertise working on non-fiction books is preferred but not required
