Job Requirements Job Summary
CMI seeks a creative, entrepreneurial, and sophisticated Corporate Partnerships Manager to take the CMI corporate partnership program to the next level of growth and impact. He/she will serve as a key strategist to develop a long-term growth plan for corporate alliances and cause marketing initiatives. The individual will shepherd existing strong corporate partnerships with Bloomingdales, Hunter Boot, and Magaschoni, as well as establish new partnerships with corporations that will further raise awareness of our mission.

A joint Development and Marketing position, the individual will work closely with the Director of Development and Chief Outreach Officer, as well as high-profile CMI Board of Directors. The position is located at CMI headquarters in New York City. This is an exempt, full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities

  1. In coordination with the Director of Development and Chief Outreach Officer, develop both annual and long-range strategic plans for corporate alliances and cause marketing initiatives.

  2. Foster new corporate partnerships by generating creative and thoughtful pitch presentations and cause marketing proposals, following up on potential relationship-based leads, and researching new potential partners.

  3. Maintain and expand existing corporate partner relationships by keeping in close contact with corporate representatives, stewarding their requests and presenting them with additional opportunities as appropriate.

  4. Develop and deliver creative and powerful presentations and proposals for corporate partnership opportunities; ensure organizational leadership involved in marketing pitch are briefed and prepared for meetings.

  5. Identify new branding and sponsorship opportunities through current CMI initiatives and programming.

  6. Work closely with the Board of Directors on strategy and contacts for corporate solicitations.

  7. Ensure effective communication and development of program goals and objectives with other departments, CMI leadership, and the Board.



Qualifications and requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required.

  2. Minimum of 3 years in non-profit corporate alliances, sponsorship, or cause marketing.

  3. Must be an excellent writer and possess strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  4. Proven history of dealing with corporate contacts from all levels of the organization and stewarding those relationships for growth.

  5. Exceptional attention to detail while acutely aware of the “big picture.”

  6. Enjoy a fast-paced, exciting, high-impact environment.

  7. Creative and resourceful; entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work in a collaborative, productive manner with diverse constituencies.
