Job Requirements This is an opportunity to play a key role in driving growth of a dynamic and meaningful organization. The Manager, Marketing is responsible for working with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and external Public Relations (PR) firm and partners to create and execute all marketing plans for CEE products and events, and, more generally, to raise CEE's visibility.

Specific responsibilities for this position include the following:

Product Marketing
Position our key products for growth through:
- Creating and executing marketing plans for new and established CEE products through a combination of online and offline promotions, social media, CEE affiliate network, partners and PR (the latter working with our PR firm)
- Working with the CMO and others to create and execute marketing plans for key CEE events such as the National Economics Challenge and CEE's Annual Educator's Conference
- Working closely with CEE's PR firm to raise CEE's profile through promotion of key events and CEE positions on relevant and topical matters. Establish CEE staff as authoritative voice in the space.
- Developing channel partners for product distribution and/or CEE messaging.

- Create editorial calendar for and write and post for CEE blog and all social media
- Write new and update current CEE website sections
- Assemble and write content for CEE Network, teacher and donor newsletters

- Determine CEE external event schedule to support product marketing and
- Coordinate CEE presence at key conferences, including creation of distributed materials for such

The Marketing Manager reports to the Chief Operating/Chief Marketing Officer (one position), and works in cooperation with other staff.

- 4-6 years' professional experience
- BA/BS degree
- Background in product marketing through both online and offline channels, including social media
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability both to carry out activities independently and to work as part of a team
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
About Our Company Founded almost 65 years ago, the Council for Economic Education's (CEE) mission is to promote economic and financial literacy, so that every child in kindergarten through high school can learn to make reasoned and responsible decisions throughout their lives as consumers, savers, investors, borrowers and voters. We accomplish our mission by doing three things:

1. Developing Content. We offer comprehensive, best-in-class K-12 economic and personal finance education programs, consisting of teaching resources across the curriculum, professional development for teachers, and nationally-normed assessment instruments.
2. Educating the Educators. Each year, the Council's programs reach more than 55,000 K-12 teachers and approximately 5 million students in the United States. These programs are delivered through a diversified system: directly from the Council, through a network of affiliated state Councils and university-based Centers for Economic Education, and through other partner organizations.
3. Advocacy. Through our advocacy programs we encourage standards for financial and economic literacy at the state and federal levels.

- Introduced two new programs targeted to K-5 and Hispanic students
- Doubled the number of students participating in the National Economics Challenge
- Developed an online tool to help teachers quickly and easily find lessons aligned to the Common Core
