Job Requirements MacGillivray Freeman is looking for an experienced and passionate development and marketing pro (and natural storyteller) to join its growing team based in Laguna Beach, California. This is your opportunity to contribute to a new chapter of the highest-grossing IMAX documentary company in the world.

POSITION
Reporting directly to the President of Oscar-nominated MacGillivray Freeman Films, the Senior Marketing & Development Manager serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in driving the development and marketing strategy of the world's leading independent giant-screen film company. In partnership with the President, this position is responsible for all fundraising and development activities and plays a key role in the company's overarching film and corporate marketing activities. The successful candidate will help forge new relationships - with leading corporations, foundations, NGOs and private investors - to build MacGillivray Freeman's visibility, impact, and financial resources in order to support various high-profile film, TV and digital media projects.

S/he will also help advise, brand and grow the company's recently launched new media arm -- MacGMedia -- which builds content-driven campaigns and produces original digital media for a range of corporate and nonprofit clients on all platforms -- online, mobile, multimedia exhibits, events and more.

Key responsibilities include:
--Have primary responsibility for strategic creative development and execution of all proposals, media-rich presentations and development collateral (promotional videos, treatments, etc.)
--Manage relationships and specific projects with key partners (current and prospective film sponsors, agents, clients, NGO partners, etc.)
--Work with communications, marketing and digital media teams on strategy and execution of key film-specific and corporate marketing initiatives and deliverables
--Monitor success of various partnerships and create ongoing reports for key partners that showcase success
--Actively work with the President to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to include corporate and nonprofit partnerships, co-productions, government grants, etc.

Qualifications include:
--5-8 years of professional experience in a corporate or agency setting with demonstrated success in a business development and marketing function (managing and forging relationships with corporate partners and other clients)
--Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of partners and build long-term relationships
--Superb writing skills for a wide range of deliverables -- presentations, proposals, promotional videos, treatments, multi-platform marketing materials -- is a must (Writing samples will be requested as part of interview process)
--Passion and strong working knowledge of film and media industry
--Proficiency in branding, social media, online marketing and entertainment media concepts
--Excellent people management skills and ability to mentor entry-level hires/employees
--Visually-oriented with demonstrated success in media-rich presentation development and multi-platform content creation (Highly proficient in Keynote for Mac and Microsoft Office Suite)
--Strong organizational and project/time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage/execute multiple projects from inception to results
--Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside the company
--High energy and passion for the power of multi-platform storytelling to create change is essential
--Ability to construct, articulate, and implement annual strategic development plan and goals
--Ability to monitor trends in film/media industry and translate insights into key business opportunities for the company
--Bachelor's degree required
--Surfers/Stand-up paddlers/Beach enthusiasts a plus
