Job Requirements Townsquare Media is looking for a talented editor to run StarCrush.com, a celebrity and entertainment news site that is part of our portfolio of premium websites that reach over 50 million monthly unique visitors. StarCrush gives fans in-depth coverage of the celebrities, movies, TV shows and fashion they care about. It's a destination for breaking news, exclusive interviews, the hottest celebrity style and trends, entertaining lists, red carpet coverage and more.

This is a full-time position with benefits that is based in either New York City or Los Angeles. We're looking for someone who truly loves celebrities. You should be creative, social media-savvy and ready to take the lead in growing a national brand.

If you meet the responsibilities and requirements outlined below, please provide a resume, cover letter, links to three published writing clips, and a list of at least three original ideas for features that you'd launch to grow the site's audience. If you currently manage any social media accounts for a brand, send links to those as well.

Responsibilities:
- Growing the site and hitting quarterly traffic goals by making StarCrush a unique and compelling destination for fans.
- Managing content programming for the site. This includes generating quality new content daily in a fast-paced environment. You will be writing or assigning articles and lists, as well as editing, publishing and promoting them. You will be securing celebrity interviews, creating original video content and creating benchmark features for the site.
- Hiring and managing a team of freelance writers.
- Working directly with managers and publicists to help garner and promote exclusive content.
- Running all social media.
- Assigning and publishing any night coverage (breaking news, TV shows, etc.) related to the site.

Requirements:
- A BA in Journalism, English, and/or an entertainment related field.
- At least three years of editing experience at a celebrity or entertainment website.
- A passion for celebrity gossip, movies, TV and fashion.
- Strong connections within the entertainment industry.
- Tech-savvy; ideally has experience with Wordpress and HTML, Microsoft Word/Excel, Photoshop, Google Docs, social networking, SEO and Google Analytics
- Must be top-notch writer and editor, detail-oriented, extremely organized, able multi-task and communicate effectively with freelancers and fellow editors.
- Proactive in thinking of new ideas/features/projects that will grow readership.
