Job Requirements OVERALL SUMMARY

Serve as integral member of HBO Direct to Home Domestic Distribution team by providing administrative support for account team comprised of Directors, Managers, Account Executives, and SDE’s. Primary responsibilities include tracking team budget which consists of maintaining accurate and up-to-date commitment and spending information, reconciling the General Ledger and the timely processing of invoices and monthly expense reports. Account Assistant will also assist with point-of-sale planning (premium orders, incentive budgeting, flyers), Marketing needs (image requests, communicating programming highlights, ad hoc requests) and responding to routine requests from Distributors in a timely manner. Additional general administrative duties include making travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, answering phones, typing, faxing, packing and shipping, etc.


Project Management

• Manage all budget related tasks for DISH account utilizing the HBO proprietary budgeting tool to input, process and balance budget lines. Address budgetary information and tracking needs of Directors and Managers. Work closely with AMA and other AA to keep budget current and reported accurately.
• Submit invoices for payment in a timely fashion and provide payment confirmation to appropriate Account team members.
• Manage all assigned projects in an efficient manner and be prepared to speak on all related details through a verbal and/or written recap.
• Administer SDE Expense Reports accurately and on a weekly basis. Recognize and tie expenses back to overall budget.
• Maintain centralized store of information with most up to date call center visitation schedules, client contacts and Call Center details. Continuously and proactively gather information and update POS database.
• Support Team with requests related to DISH Point of Sale area of business. Order and ship premiums and other materials for site visits, as needed.
• Manage monthly digital distribution of HBO images for DISH Affiliate usage. Assist with approval of marketing materials through proper channels (i.e. legal, marketing, etc.) and follow up as appropriate.

Team & Distributor Relationship Management

• Support POS team with day-to-day business needs to best execute effective and efficient training and call center visits. Work closely with POS Directors, Managers, and SDE’s to proactively execute on requests related to site visits, special projects, incentives and training initiatives.
• Be the central contact for all site scheduling details. Communicate professionally with SDE’s and DTH client contacts to ensure site visitation information is up to date and accurate. Manage consolidated calendar for team. Assist SDE team with call center visit plans, as needed.
• Share responsibility for creating, distributing, moderating weekly team meeting agendas
• Proactively collaborate with DTH/DND assistants and AMA to share information and resources.
• Act as the Distributor go-to person for POS/MKTG administrative needs.
• Establish positive and constructive relationships with colleagues on the DTH team to expand the breadth of partnership and understanding of the business goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributor contacts.

• Develop and exhibit working knowledge of all aspects of HBO and Distributor business including understanding of SDE roles, Call Center locations/functionality, Retail business activity including key OE Dealer locations, and POS importance in overall DND and HBO Business. Develop understanding of Distributor general corporate structure and contacts.
• Develop and apply strategic, critical, creative thinking and problem solving skills to optimize contributions to the team.


• 1-2 years business experience

• College degree or equivalent experience preferred

• Accounting/budgeting experience preferred

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
