Job Requirements This position with the World Science Festival is a unique opportunity to work with a fast-growing media organization focused on high-profile, content-rich, innovative science programming.

The Director of Marketing and PR is responsible for expanding the brand through extensive communications and public relations campaigns, and leading the creation and execution of marketing strategies that expand digital and live event audiences for the World Science Festival, extend market reach, and increase revenue through innovative sales and development strategies.


· Develop and execute PR strategies that measurably impact the growth of the WSF brand.

· Lead the creation and execution of an integrated marketing plan; develop and launch advertising and branding campaigns to promote WSF, develop audience and donor development campaigns.

· Leverage and maximize opportunities for audience and fundraising growth through database e marketing.

· Develop distribution partnerships that expand reach and mission

· Responsible for the production of all Festival publications including program guides, calendars, direct and email marketing.

· Work closely with Development department to produce sponsorship collateral and presentations.

· Develop and manage annual marketing goals and budget.

· Recruit and manage internal marketing team (interns and volunteers on as-needed basis).


· Bachelor of Arts degree.

· Minimum 5-7 years post-collegiate experience in Marketing.

· Demonstrated experience building brands via Digital Marketing.

· Experience running a team that supports a sales effort preferred.

· Excellent writing/proofreading/compositional ability.

· Proven capacity to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced or stressful environment, with demonstrated personal traits of sense of humor, maturity and grace under pressure.
