Job Requirements Emerging patient health start-up is seeking a talented contract product and community manager to help guide the product through beta and beyond.

Product and community management responsibilities will include:
• Product ownership of our patient-focused beta product, with potential to build a product and marketing team.
• Generate ambitious and well-designed product ideas based on member wants, company strategy and technology trends.
• Drive product features through its entire development cycle, from concept to launch, with a strong focus on details but still seeing the larger opportunity, always.
• Chief customer advocate: establish and cultivate customer feedback channels to inform continuous product improvement and innovation and guide product-market fit.
• Help your team work together smoothly and be its advocate to the rest of the company.
• Work in collaboration with operations, corporate marketing and technology teams, as well as consultants and vendors, in execution.
• Management role reporting directly to the Head of Operations
• Responsibility for service KPIs measuring engagement and retention. Gather information and requirements, set and track the most relevant metrics to a product, track past projects and identify ways to optimize them
• Key stakeholder in customer relations and user community management.
Experience using business intelligence or analytics solutions for Internet businesses strongly preferred. Prior experience in the consumer health content space a plus. Demonstrated community management a plus.

Other requirements:
• 2+ years of applicable experience desired working in a product management capacity at a consumer facing web company
• Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently.
• Strong understanding of current web and mobile standards and technologies
• Strategic thinking to balance and prioritize short-term solutions with long-term vision
• Excellent oral communication, written communication and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of Web site design; Web user experiences; and different Internet-based business models.
• Detail –oriented and demonstrated experience using project management tools and iterative tech development.
• Interest in developing products that build and foster supportive user communities
