Experiential marketing agency seeks account planner/strategist for San Francisco office to set the communication strategy for marketing campaigns and experiential activation plans. The planner would establish the goals and objectives, target audience, message and tone in which the campaign/plan should be delivered.

The planner will define how a particular strategy can help a client add value to their business. Planner will inspire creative teams to develop a series of activations to this end, challenge the team to create programs that are measurable, lead the charge on analyzing the collected data, formulate an insight on the efficacy of the programs and use that insight to inform future strategies. The planner will engage with 4-5 clients and/or brands simultaneously, developing a good understanding of those businesses and identifying specific business needs for each one.

• BA or BS in psychology, anthropology, sociology, communications or related field
• Experience liaising with clients to identify specific business problems, then developing an 'angle' on a specific product /service on which to base our campaign or activation plan
• Ability to work in team environment with creatives and account managers and provide them with a clearly defined creative brief that contains concise information on the product, audience and strategy
• Proven ability to analyze a wide range of information in great detail, including demographics, market conditions, competitive analyses, audience insights and behavioral triggers and their impact on consumers' attitudes, behavior and perceptions
• Research expertise using both qualitative methods, such as structured interviews, and quantitative methods, such as demographic profiling and questionnaires, which may involve gaining technical or specific knowledge given our client mix
• Experience auditing a client’s current multi-platform; making recommendations based on the strategy
• Solid communications skills to present conclusions/ideas internally as well as to clients
