Job Requirements Ahoy there—the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is in need of an Advertising Manager on our Chicago office crew. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to ‘mix it up’—you’ll be working on a wide variety of both B2B and B2C projects.

As recreational boating’s leading trade association, we produce more than 20 consumer boat shows coast to coast—and you’ll be working on all of them. We also manage the industry’s national advertising campaign - Discover Boating, and a number of trade events. Multi-tasking is a must!

The ideal candidate is capable of managing the daily workflow of projects to ensure they are on time, on budget and on strategy. The Advertising Manager functions as a main contact and must be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously. He/she also has project management experience, has demonstrated the potential to quickly embrace new projects and is motivated to deliver the best work possible.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with Program Managers (i.e. departments) in developing, executing and tracking projects related to NMMA/industry marketing plans. Manage creative process associated with plan developments.
• Schedule show marketing plan meetings. Coordinate document updates with all appropriate personnel.
• Day to day management of show marketing and advertising plans, working closely with advertising agency in media plan development and execution, along with corresponding creative coordination.
• Proofread and provide edits for both print and web projects.
• Traffic creative for approvals for broadcast, print and web related projects.
• Process purchase orders for shows advertising budgets, as well as production jobs. Process departmental invoices.
• Develop program recap analytics, reporting back findings.
• Special marketing projects as assigned.

Credentials/Experience Requirements:
Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Quark, InDesign.
Post-production experience preferred.
3 years marketing or advertising agency experience REQUIRED.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications.
