Major industry trade shows and high-profile events are an important part of our overall branding and marketing strategy. We’re looking for a Director of Events & Trade Shows with progressive and demonstrated success in coordinating and executing all aspects of trade shows from development to implementation.


Key Areas of Responsibility
Oversee the long-term strategy and execution of events, ensuring that broader brand and sales objectives are met or exceeded
Work across Marketing and Sales to develop and maintain budgets, as well as align on activities related to each event
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with outside vendors, preparing ROI evaluations of events
Manage, maintain, and recommend continuous improvements for all booth properties and convention assets. Remain current on new trends in exhibit design
Work with Marketing team to ensure that events receive optimal media coverage
Arrange for and obtain signage, booth exhibits, nametags, materials, notebooks, packages, gift bags, registration lists, etc44
Manage the development of con tent across social channels. Including, but not limited to blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tumblr, and Instagram
Utilize measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives
Grow and mentor events team
Job Qualifications
BA degree
6+ years planning and executing large-scale events; managing vendors and negotiating pricing
Domestic and international trade show experience in the consumer hardware industry is strongly preferred
Ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 50% of the time
Creative thinker, team player, and self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
Experience managing a staff and coordinating across cross-functional areas within an organization
Experience with reporting tools
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in nascent technology a plus

Familiarity with 3D printing or MakerBot
