Job Requirements Part editor and part gumshoe reporter, the assistant editor must be able to move with ease from a community board meeting to an academic symposium. He or she should be able to boil down complex subjects into readable and concise copy. The assistant editor will work primarily on the East Coast edition of the paper, covering an area from Washington, D.C. to Boston, with a focus on New York City. AN delivers original content through print, web, blog, and twitter. The applicant should be able to deliver in all formats: pithy tweets, off-the-cuff blogs, and deeply reported articles.

A bachelor's degree and experience in journalism is required. An interest in architecture, planning, and design is strongly encouraged.
