Job Requirements Project Management:
• Managing custom projects for BNP Media as primary point of contact, from initial conference call through end of project. Includes analyzing client’s needs, creating schedules and deadlines, putting teams in place, and coordinating all pre-, in-, and post-production duties.
• Writing for client projects as needed; copyediting project editorial as specified by contract; proofreading final editorial of the projects you manage and as needed.
• Reviewing/approving content blast items for editorial validity if requested by content deployment coordinators; suggesting supporting client or BNP brand links if necessary.
• Obtaining vendor quotes on projects and tracking project expenses to make sure they come in on or below budget.
• Notifying BNP support departments (accounting, production, audience development, etc.) of the project to ensure seamless production, distribution, and billing. Coordinating project deployment/delivery.
• Preflighting ads as needed; sending print orders to printer and affiliated BNP Media production reps (if applicable) and corporate audience audit; reviewing and approving files on printer prepress software.
• Maintaining regular, proactive communication with internal staff, clients, and vendors to ensure that deadlines are met and procedures are followed.
• Willingness to learn TeamworkPM software for entering project details beginning with receipt of the scope of work, and updating TM daily with project progress.
• Notifying Melanie and Chris when a project is nearing completion so that Chris can contact client regarding renewal.
• Making note of upsell opportunities (project content via other platforms and formats, additional project opportunities, etc.) for Chris/Kim Paulson.

Brand Communications:
• Brand Messaging:
o Writing for and maintaining orangetap’s blog
o Working with the orangetap marketing manager to facilitate marketing-related deployments
• Website Management:
o Developing and implementing ideas to enhance the orangetap website
o Uploading newly published projects to website
• Sales Support (Content as a Service):
o Working with BNP Media’s Director of Content Deployment to establish best practices when selecting a freelance writer
o Assisting orangetap Business Development Manager with setting up pre-sale editorial calls with potential freelance editors
o Reviewing and proofreading CaaS deliverables before sending to clients

Other:
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple concurrent projects.
• Must be able to work independently, but must thrive in a collaborative, team environment.
• Ability to be proactive, customer-focused and communicate clearly and appropriately to clients, internal teams, and vendors is crucial.
• Some travel to client meetings and trade shows/events may be required.

• BA in English or Journalism
• Strong journalism skills, including writing, editing, interviewing, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including being comfortable talking to industry professionals on the phone or face to face
• Strong understanding of the Web, including Web browsers, SEO and Web analytics
• Experience with CMS and uploading content to the Web
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Familiarity with graphic design programs like Photoshop helpful, but not required
