As part of our drive for innovation and growth, we are launching a video start-up that will provide a completely new type of video news service. This is a unique opportunity to join a consumer technology start-up within one of the world’s leading content producers and brands. You will be a founding member of a small team that builds and launches this revolutionary product.

The Digital Marketing Manager will have responsibility for recruiting and engaging subscribers for this new product globally. Managing a small team, you will identify, execute and measure direct marketing campaigns that generate paying subscribers. You will be a hands-on professional with significant experience in digital paid-user accusation who enjoys testing new acquisition ideas, detail and delivering results. As this is a start-up, you will be comfortable with building campaigns from the ground up and relish the nimbleness, creativity and entrepreneurship that a new business demands.

Key accountabilities:
• Implement marketing strategy
• Define system needs (CRM, ESP, billing etc.)
• Manage complex multi-country marketing campaigns using tools such as PPC, SEO, online, e-mail, affiliate and social marketing campaigns
• Implement and manage rigorous optimization and testing processes
• Develop and execute innovative ideas that drive customer engagement
• Deliver regular reports on competitor activity and wider market analysis
• Deliver qualitative research providing actionable insights about existing customers and prospects

Decision rights:
• Manage direct marketing activity
• Manage user funnel
• Vendor selection and management
• Advise on product, branding and technology
• Advise on pricing

Performance measures:
•Subscriber volume and profitability
• Total users and engagement
• CPA and conversion
• Quality and innovation of work

Key relationships:
• Report to business head
• Work with product and technology team to implement systems and identify new features that engage users
• Work with finance and analysis team to develop forecasting and modeling tools
• Work with designers to develop branding and marketing collateral
• Work with editorial team to understand product direction and development
• Work with vendors, partners and consultants to support team objectives

Experience and skills:
• Quality (5 years +) experience with implementing and managing sophisticated online customer acquisition campaigns
• Significant experience using and implementing customer management tools
• Quality experience in developing marketing assets and working with vendors
• Significant experience in digital campaign measurement, user reporting and forecasting
• A sense of humor
