Job Requirements ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, CLIENT SERVICES AND COMMUNICATIONS, Resource Development, to manage client relations, project metrics, and internal workflow in a high-profile, high-volume (350 jobs a year) office. Will partner with internal clients to plan communications and marketing solutions to achieve both short- and long-term strategic objectives; lead conversations with clients (fund-raising colleagues) to develop a deep understanding of client goals and serve as a consultant to clients on project execution; manage internal client relationships and determine and assign the resources necessary to complete projects effectively; independently assign projects to the communications team and ensure that creative materials meet clients’ expectations and the standards of MIT's Campaign; create and manage timelines for jobs as necessary; coordinate the work processes from start to finish, oversee and route workflow through departments, and track all milestones; review projects for quality assurance; perform occasional independent writing assignments; and support other communications projects as needed.

REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, or advertising; a minimum of five years’ communications experience, preferably in a publishing, advertising, or creative agency or higher education or nonprofit environment; and strong organizational, writing and editing skills. Must be able to prioritize work, handle a large volume of projects, work well under pressure, collaborate with many offices and departments, and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. Proficiency with Macintosh computers and experience with spreadsheets and databases required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), web content management systems, and project management software a plus. Job #10823
