Job Requirements Publicist will be responsible for publicity campaigns for children’s titles as assigned: working with authors, creating comprehensive tour schedules, scheduling travel, arranging media interviews, writing press materials and pitch letters, research media contacts, fulfill review copy requests. Must be comfortable pitching national and local media for print, TV, radio, and online.
Position requires superior writing and communication skills and a strong interest in children’s books

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years working in book publicity required
• Knowledge of children’s books and media preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in writing press releases and pitch letters
• Ability to interact with the media, authors, the press, and work in a collaborative environment
• Strong aptitude for managing multiple projects simultaneously and work independently
• Familiarity with various social media platforms
• Strong aptitude to work in fast-paced environment
• Requires ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Proficient in using media databases such as Cision and Publicity Assistant a plus.
