Job Requirements The Role
The Creative Video Producer works with Teach For America's Digital Marketing Team to design and develop compelling video stories for marketing, recruitment and training purposes. As the Creative Video Producer you will have the opportunity to write, direct, film and edit video projects that contribute to Teach For America’s mission. This also includes optimizing our YouTube channel and thinking strategically about video distribution to activate and inspire our audiences. This position reports to the Director of Video Operations.

Primary Responsibilities
Proactively identify video stories on a quarterly and annual basis.
Coordinate pre-production activities. This includes working closely with key stakeholders to write treatments for video projects, screening potential interviewees, scheduling location shoots, planning interview guides, and mapping out distribution.
Manage location shoots at schools and professional offices (solo and with a team). This includes camera operation, lighting, audio monitoring, gathering publicity release forms, and conducting & filming interviews with teachers, children, parents, high profile supporters, and business professionals.
Handle post-production duties. This includes searching and acquiring rights for background music, doing basic graphic animation, writing voice over, editing polished & fully produced videos that deliver key messages in a style and tone that is compelling and effective, and compressing and uploading videos online.
Capture feedback from organizational stakeholders to ensure complete alignment between each project’s objectives and the ultimate finished product.
Optimizes Teach For America’s YouTube channel and all video uploads to ensure channel growth and maximum engagement.
Tracks, analyzes and reports on performance metrics for all videos and campaigns.
Requirements

Prior Experience
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in video production required (pre-production, on-site production, and post production)
Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in communications, journalism or RTF
Skills
Proficient in Final Cut Pro Studio and YouTube functionality
In-depth knowledge of video production techniques (pre-production, writing, shooting, and editing)
Comfortable with DSLR cameras, lighting, and professional audio equipment
Problem-solve and independently manage multiple projects simultaneously, enjoys working as part of a team
Excellent organization, communication, flexibility and attention to detail
Possesses a personal portfolio of web video projects with accompanying analytics
Work Demands
Role requires monthly travel for production (usually between several days to a week at a time)
