American Metal Market is looking to add an experienced reporter to its news team. AMM, the industry’s top business publication, is seeking an aggressive, news-oriented individual to develop its raw materials coverage.
The candidate will work with AMM’s senior reporting staff to expand coverage of the dynamic coal, iron ore and ferrous scrap markets, with potential to grow coverage in line with market developments. The candidate will be expected to provide stories for AMM’s suite of products, including our live news website, daily news product and monthly magazine.
The right candidate will have a strong interest in business and be comfortable with economic issues. A business reporting background is essential, either for a respected trade publication or a national newspaper or wire. Experience in the commodities sector or a related industry would be a strong advantage. The position ideally will be located in AMM’s New York or Pittsburgh bureau, but we will consider other locations for an exceptional candidate. An appetite for breaking news stories, a familiarity with basic economics and well developed writing skills are essential for this position.
