Job Requirements This position includes assisting in the planning and execution of marketing and advertising campaigns; negotiating art rights and proofing mechanicals for accuracy; serving as liaison with design, internet marketing and sales departments and provides general administrative support.

Major Responsibilities:
Assist in creation of mechanicals for library editions
Check mechanicals in prep stage & find quotes for use on packaging as needed
Request art files for packages and catalog from various art departments, including outside publishers
Negotiate art rights with stock houses, freelance illustrators, designers and photographers for all packaging
Create sales materials (designed sell sheets, brochures, fact sheets, etc) for sales conference and during season as needed
Develop and maintain schedule of all marketing and advertising plans
Assist in development of marketing plans
Develop tip sheets with marketing director and managing editor
Maintain a title history database of marketing, advertising, publicity, and coop plans for each title
Track all agenda items and follow-up for marketing meeting

Required Skills / Knowledge
Motivated, highly organized and detail oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with both Mac and PC programs.
Basic knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite required, Microsoft Office,
web experience a plus.

Experience Needed:
A previous internship is preferred; but not required.

Educational Background Required:
Bachelors Degree
